If history is your thing, we have castles, important historical battle sites and Roman relics all around. Sport lovers can watch live at football stadiums, athletics fields and horse racing tracks, or if you prefer to participate we have leisure centres offering swimming, gym classes, ice skating, walking football and the full climbing wall experience. There are shopping centres, theatres, cinemas, restaurants and coffee shops all within a short car journey or bus ride. If you wish to venture further, Edinburgh and Glasgow are within an hour’s travel of William Simpsons. We are also supported by local businesses, both large and small, and residents often enjoy the company of corporate volunteers visiting for the day. Our links with other local charitable organisations allows residents to attend many external group activities including lunch clubs, choir, men’s shed groups, knitting groups and many others.
