One of the great positives of joining a community such as William Simpsons is that you are part of something, and you are supported. 

You have the choice and freedom to determine your level of involvement with our community and there are many areas within the Home and grounds where you can meet up with others and enjoy shared interests.

Similarly, if you like time on your own, there are lots of different places to choose from.  Although there may be times when you choose solitude, as part of our supported community you will never feel isolated or alone.

There are plentiful amenities at William Simpsons for everyone to use and enjoy, both inside and outside. Continue with your existing hobbies or find new interests that will help you to live your best life.

Throughout the grounds there are many lovely walks of varying distances interspersed with outdoor seating where you can sit and enjoy the views and the wildlife that our rural setting encourages.

Do the things you love

Here at William Simpsons life is all about living and doing the things you enjoy. Tell staff about your passions, interests and hobbies and we will do everything we can to make them happen. 

Each flat has its own Activity Co-ordinator, who will get to know you and can facilitate activities in accordance with your interests. 

In addition to the resources we have within the Home we have links to lots of external organisations and can organise enjoyable excursions and days away.  So, if you are interested in history, let us know and you can explore our historical grounds with a metal detector, we can assist you with research in your chosen field and arrange excursions to areas and places of interest. 

If sport is your thing, we can arrange for you enjoy a spectators view of a sporting event within the local community, or if you prefer to participate, we could arrange for you to take part in an organised event either within or out with the Home.
