The What of William Simpsons People’s needs change throughout their lifetime, so William Simpsons offers different levels of support and care Respite Support and Care provides individuals with short term, tailored support and is available in both times of crisis and as a planned break. Although most individuals benefiting from respite support and care return to community living, respite can also provide an adjustment period for individuals who are moving into longer term care within William Simpsons. Short Term Support and Care enables individuals to recuperate, and prepare for a return to community living. As each individual progresses, the focus of support will change toward building confidence and competence in the relevant life skills each person will require, such as cooking, shopping or financial management. The William Simpsons team will work closely with social work departments to ensure each person has the necessary support in place for a successful transition back to community living before they leave our care. Long Term Support and Care provides a welcoming and caring home for individuals where they can enjoy a full and enriching life secure in the knowledge their medical needs are supported.
