There are many small charities that need help and, at William Simpsons, we rely on the support of people like you to truly enhance the service that we offer to the residents in our care home.  We have a growing team of individuals, groups and businesses who raise funds and make a real difference to supporting adults living with a mental health diagnosis.

We believe that every individual has the right to lead a happy and fulfilling life and everything we do is focussed on ensuring that the residents in our home continue to enjoy existing hobbies and interests, as well as broaden their horizons by discovering new passions and enjoying days away or on-site entertainment.

The residents in our care home may be with us for the short, medium or longer term, but every individual receives care that is centred around their own choices and wishes.  We help our short and medium term residents to get back on their feet, armed with the skills they need to return to their own homes and communities. We ensure our long-term residents lead varied and fulfilling lives, making the most of each and every day.

Every individual who uses our services, whether it is for short term respite care, medium term rehabilitation support or long-term residential care, receives 360-degree care and support which addresses both their physical and emotional wellbeing.

One day we could be supporting a resident to knock up a meal from scratch in preparation for their return to independent living in the community, the next day we may be assisting a group of long-term residents to enjoy an afternoon’s trout fishing at a local fishery; we could be refereeing an inclusive, mixed ability walking football match, or we may be providing calming sensory care and support to someone nearing the end of their life.  With your help, we can continue to deliver our life affirming support and together we can make a real difference to adults living with a mental health diagnosis.

What we do with money from our fundraisers

At any moment in time, William Simpsons has a range of projects and appeals on the go to improve our facilities and the service we provide to or residents.  This is where your fundraising efforts can really help.

Our current capital appeal aims to completely refurbish our Respite Centre to enhance the facilities available to residents.  We pride ourselves on the range and volume of activities that we offer to the residents, and funds are always required to ensure that we maintain a variety of interesting, fulfilling and fun activities that keep residents’ minds and bodies active.
