COVID Update. Current Status: The home is currently free of COVID-19. What this means: Life within the Home is continuing as normal: all communal areas such as the café and games room are open and residents can visit friends in other flats and meet up together within the café and wider body of the Home. Residents can venture out into the wider community for planned excursions, shopping trips, meals out and spend time with their friends and family out with the Home. Visitors are welcome to spend time with relatives within the Home but we ask that you follow the visiting guidelines detailed below. COVID prevention measures remain in place and whilst we understand these may be an inconvenience, we ask for your understanding as we undertake these essential measures. Anyone visiting the home is encouraged to undertake a Lateral Flow test prior to leaving home and we ask that hands are sanitised on entry. Visitors are still required to wear a face mask whilst moving about in the body of the home (unless exempt). All staff continue to wear medical grade surgical masks throughout their shifts and sanitise their hands regularly. All staff must lateral flow test three times a week before coming into work and undertake a weekly PCR test. Any staff member who returns a positive result must self isolate for the mandatory duration and can only return to work once they are recovered and are symptom free. In line with the statutory requirements and advice from Public Health Scotland, it is only residents who are displaying symptoms who are tested for Covid-19. Should the situation change, relatives will be contacted and updated by staff. The information displayed in this COVID-Update section of the website will also change. Visiting: We are following the Scottish Government's 'Open With Care' Guidance https://www.gov.scot/publications/open-with-care-supporting-meaningful-contact-in-adult-care-homes-principles/?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery, which means: Visiting by family and friends is actively encouraged by the Home and we ask that you phone the Home on 01786 812421 to make arrangements. All visitors are required to adhere to the strict covid-prevention measures the Home has in place (see above) and the current national guidance requirements as issued by the Scottish Government. Indoor visits are available, and these will take place within the resident’s private room or within the library area. Visitors are required to keep their face coverings in place for the duration of the visit. Outdoor visiting is also available, either within the dedicated ‘Visiting Pods’ or within our extensive garden areas. Face coverings are not mandatory for outdoor visits. If you cannot visit in person, you can arrange for a ‘virtual visit’, using one of the video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Facetime or What’sApp. We have tablets available for residents to borrow if they don’t have a device of their own. Phone calls, letters and cards are also a lovely way to keep in touch. You are welcome to visit as often as you wish. Please contact staff in advance to make the arrangements. Updates: Staff will keep you informed of any change to the COVID status of the Home, and will update you if there is any change to your relative's condition. You are, of course, welcome to phone your relative or their staff team at anytime: Reception: 01786 812421 Direct Email Direct Dial Flat 1 [email protected] 01786 812421 ext. 101 Flat 2 [email protected] 01786 812421 ext. 102 Flat 3 [email protected] 01786 812421 ext. 103 Flat 4 [email protected] 01786 812421 ext. 104 Flat 5 [email protected] 01786 812421 ext. 105 Flat 6 [email protected] 01786 812421 ext. 106 Flat 7 [email protected] 01786 812421 ext. 107 Flat 8 [email protected] 01786 812421 ext. 108 Flat 9 [email protected] 01786 812421 ext. 109 Please come back to this page for updates to the Home's COVID status and to get the latest information regarding visiting arrangements.
