Current Status:  

The home is currently free of COVID-19.

What this means:

Life within the Home is continuing as normal:  all communal areas such as the café and games room are open and residents can visit friends in other flats and meet up together within the café and wider body of the Home.  Residents can venture out into the wider community for planned excursions, shopping trips, meals out and spend time with their friends and family out with the Home.  Visitors are welcome to spend time with relatives within the Home.

In accordance with the national statutory guidance, visitors and staff are no longer required to wear facemasks within the Home.  Should you prefer to wear a facemask, your wishes will be respected, and you are welcome to take a mask from the dispenser by the front door.  Hand sanitisers remain in place throughout the Home and are available for use.  

In line with the statutory requirements and advice from Public Health Scotland, it is only residents who are displaying symptoms who are tested for Covid-19.  Staff are no longer required to take lateral flow tests before coming to work, however they remain vigilant, testing if they suspect they may have been exposed to the virus.  Any staff member who tests positive will not come to work but will self-isolate in accordance with current statutory guidance.

Should the situation change, relatives will be contacted and updated by staff.  The information displayed in this COVID-Update section of the website will also change.

Visiting:

There are no longer any restrictions in place which means you are welcome to call into the Home anytime you wish, without notifying staff in advance and you can move around the Home as in pre-covid days.

Updates:

Staff will keep you informed of any change to the COVID status of the Home, and will update you if there is any change to your relative's condition.  You are, of course, welcome to phone your relative or their staff team at anytime:
