As part of our busy activities schedule at William Simpsons, residents and staff went the whole hog in enjoying our recent Western Week.

From Monday through to Sunday, residents enjoyed a wide range of activities and events themed around The Wild West – and the option to dress up in cowboy hats and neckerchiefs for the full week, too.

Monday saw us playing Western themed games at our Rodeo Afternoon, while on Tuesday the residents limbered up with a Wild West Exercise Class. On Wednesday we had a Western movie session in the afternoon and Thursday was the day where we enjoyed good old country tunes from one of our entertainers.

The residents enjoyed ranch cookies and bakehouse buns with their coffee on Friday, and had the opportunity to watch more Western films on Saturday. To top off Western Week residents could throw their hat in the ring to compete in our cowboy and cowgirl pool tournament.

Western Week certainly delivered more than a lick and a promise! While the William Simpsons team might have been plumb tuckered out by the end of the week, the residents signed up for all the various activities lickety split, wore their best bib and tucker and burned the breeze through our Wild West themed week 😊.
